The Story Project and Reader’s Digest
Saturday, October 3, 2009 was Reader’s Digest National Make it Matter Day. Americans and local and national organizations came together to rally behind Literacy and Education. Over 100 events were held at schools, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs and libraries across the U.S. The Story Project supports this cause and partnered with Reader’s Digest to bring poetry to life across the country as part of Make It Matter Day. The Story Project’s Maryland location also took part by hosting an event for children and their families.
On Sunday, October 4, 2009 Make it Matter Day celebrated in New York City at the private Make it Matter Day Event held at the NY Public Library. The Story Project presented Tony award-winning spoken word wizard Poetri, who led an engaging poetry activity for attendees.
